Breaking down this shoulder workout!!! what’s completely unnecessary, and what you SHOULD do instead!
Do you agree? Disagree? Let me know in the comments below!
Reminder ill be in TEXAS this weekend for the American Fitness Expo! Come say Hi! I’m offering one on one training as well!!
holy cow with that form I would swear this is the first time this dude has ever hit shoulders
at t3:33 – Time and energy is something you don't get back. No truer words.
True facts 1000s grand facts very knowledgeable a true master. Yes it is true his form is absolutely rough and just awful to look at it's not smooth or slow doesn't look like any good control looks like he's forced yourself try to do the weights it looks too heavy for him
Bruh there is no one way to grow a muscle or to recruit muscle fibers . I respect your opinion but you are nowhere near the Bible.
This guys spews the same BS as AthleanX does, but puts his own twist to it. “His” pre was probably the worst I’ve took.
I’m not sure why you’re in my feed now, but I haven’t subscribed previously because in your critique videos you’d go a little to hard on the negativity. Almost making fun of the content your using for your content. This video was perfect! The right amount of energy, criticism and levity! ?
Today I subscribed!
LMAO he's ROWING
I’ve always disliked this guy.
Have watched several of your workout videos and have changed my workout completely. I like your frank criticism and explanation of other people's training videos
So its lat raise until your arms fall off, imagine next day he is doing chest?
I am grateful to have found you. I'm 50 and in the best shape of my life. I have trained for most of my life but your knowledge is helping me make the MOST of my workouts. Thank you, thank you. You're the man.
What i do, i do different variations of a workout when I plateau, I do sets with high weight, if I did 10 reps before, now I do hevy sets with low reps to failure, probably 6 reps max at failure at my heaviest, maybe 2 reps i drop set it, I do this for 4 sets, I eat and sleep. Give it a month and im reping that heavy weigh probably like 10 reps, and I keep doing it over and over month after month.
People progressive overload is a slow progress, be patient, before you know it, what you thought was heavy becomes your warm-up "months" later.
Consistency and patience, eat right and sleep. Stop looking in the mirror and comparing to other, only compare to yourself and what you use to look like 6 months ago.
Been lifting a long time and definitely know ur shit
10 things to quit for all Strong Men:
1. Caring about what others think
2. Not believing in yourself
3. Not experimenting different ideas / solutions for problems (life&business)
4. Not prioritizing your health
5. Wasting your precious time
6. Wanting something (instead write a plan and work towards it)
7. Chasing meaningless relationships
8. Wasting or draining your energy from beating your meat ?
9. Wasting time by scrolling social media
10. Nailbiting/nailpicking habit for good (if you do it — consider stopping it as it makes you mentally weak + affects your confidence and all other areas of your life!)
Take it easy and I hope you found one thing helpful in this list……………………………………………..
Great videos Jonni ur one of my faves!
5:35 lateral raises do not activate your deltoid muscles they only activate your chest muscles, Your chest muscles help you move, lift and push objects in any direction and is fully activated if you push and pull anything at its level position. Your deltoids are activated if you lift or pull anything above your chest or head. Your deltoids are cranes for your arms. While your chest is the bulldozer.
But again lateral raises do not activate your deltoids your chest is mainly used for lateral raises. The chest muscles below your deltoids are activated. The chest muscle pectoralis major has 3 major layers and your activating the costal and clavicular layer instead of the sternal layer of the pectoralis major. This type of movement will cause you to build the bottom outline around your chest muscle under your arm pits.
6:01 you have to pull those dumbbells above your chest to activate your deltoids or else your only activating your chest muscles. You deltoids muscles only work once they start rotating in an upwards direction which is any direction above your the position of your deltoids or chest. Again if you lift below your chest your chest is being used. Your chest muscle is there for that reason to lift and push anything near it.
6:08 the "lateral raises" Bro that doesn't help out your side deltoids If you ever paid attention and looked yourself in the mirror you would of realized your deltoids are not being used to lift your arms side ways up but instead your chest muscles are being used and stretched up and outwards activating most of inner chest muscles.
Go ahead look straight in the mirror while doing this and touch your deltoids you will see that they are not being used and that the chest muscle that is connecting to your arms is doing all the lifting. The pectoralis major can move in any direction so that you can push and pull objects easily without having to rely on your biceps or arms. In this case the outside pectoralis muscle that connects to your arms is being stretched out and up. Your deltoids are not being used to pull that object up.
You been taught wrong and its something you should correct yourself in.
troy and v shred. 2 of the worst
What often gets left out of these discussions is many of these guys giving advice on blasting your muscles with crazy sessions are on PEDs. So if you're natural you could pretty much toss that advice out the window. Their pump focused sessions, or their crazy overload of sets are just not going to work for you. It's a recipe for overtraining and burnout. And if you're 56 years old like me, I'm sorry but if you've been lifting your whole life you're not getting any more gainz. Your just trying to maintain. Just holding off deterioration is a huge accomplishment.
I really wish they were more middle-aged fitness people who aren't on gear. They are so few and far between.
Jonni is unique because he's an enhanced lifter but he totally gets what it's like for an unenhanced lifter. I always enjoy his advice on technique.
Absolutely brilliant love this guy always thought my training was good then watching him I realised every one needs help thank you my training is much more beneficial
You have zero knowledge. You train chest and triceps together. Two muscle groups not connected. Chest and biceps. Shoulders and Triceps. This is not rocket science. Knowledge is Power. Troy does have the best protein on the market.
SpongeBob music at the 1:00 mark made me subscribe lmao
Love Troy, but lately he's been doing real sus, clickbaiting videos like this to get attention from you or Greg Doucette.
His pre workout is fire tho
Your shoulders are not growing? Maybe because you follow Troy Who?
That Troy dude was someone I never followed or took seriously,,,,,, he was more about selling himself and his products than he was educating people or giving helpful tips
Recently found you. Just subbed. I really like your no BS, common sense approach. Keep it up man.
Quality content as always?
The only reason that I am on this page is to simply say, all you do is spend your days finding calling others out in fitness likely because you have nothing valuable to add. So you slander others and use their name to get attention. As you said just because they look good doesn't make knowledgeable.
How about spend more time being a better you, than trying to show how your better than others.
Dude, great video. You kept simple, funny and you can tell you have a lot of experience. Keep it up
I’m kinda sick of the trend of using other peoples content to make your own content. The Whole response/ critique vid trend is no fun. What happen to old YouTube fitness? Workout advice and cool collaborations wit other channels. People who had fun personalities like the Hodgestwins Chris Jones Buff Dudes and CT. People who could n make high quality vids like Christian Guzman. This shit use to be fun.
