Broccoli Raisin Salad - The Southern Lady Cooks

Broccoli raisin salad is one you will make over and over again. This is my very favorite thing to do with broccoli! I love this salad and it makes a great dish to take to any function. People always ask for the recipe and you won’t bring any home. You could double this recipe and it keeps for several days refrigerated.

Broccoli raisin salad simple ingredients:

Broccoli

Raisins (seedless)

Green Onion

Bacon

Shelled Sunflower Seeds

Mayonnaise

Cider Vinegar

Sugar

Pepper

Salt

This salad can easily be used in advance and is even better the next day. Even people who don’t like raisins love this salad. The dressing really is delicious and you will love this one too. If you love broccoli salad definitely give this one a try. This salad makes about six servings but you can easily double it.

We love all salads and this delicious Cauliflower salad is one of our favorites as well. Only a few ingredients and always a hit!

Broccoli Raisin Salad

This is such a wonderful salad!

  • 2 cups fresh broccoli
  • 1/2 cup green onion chopped
  • 3/4 cup seedless raisins
  • 4 slices bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 1/3 cup shelled sunflower seeds
  • 6 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • over and soak raisins with water till plump, drain.

  • Combine broccoli, onion, bacon, sunflower seeds, and raisins and set aside.

  • Mix the mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper.

  • Toss with salad, chill until served.

  • Makes about six servings.

Can easily double this recipe for a larger group.
