What is the best workout split to build muscle as effectively as possible? Is there any specific training split that will produce the best muscle building results? The truth is that it’s not as important as most people think. When it comes to muscle growth, the most important factor by far is that you’re training with sufficient intensity and achieving progressive overload across enough total training volume for the week as a whole. As long as you’re doing that, a wide variety of bodybuilding routines such as full body, upper/lower, legs/push/pull or a body part split (AKA “bro split”) are all effective for hypertrophy. When it comes to the “best muscle building workout” in terms of weekly split, it largely is an issue of personal preference.

This video really opened my eyes to how important the right split is. I think I'm going to give the 4-day split a shot next week.
I've tried several splits, but this one seems to emphasize recovery and growth, which is so essential for building muscle effectively.

I do an A B A B A B split over 9 days so I’m hitting each body part twice over 9 days. What I’ve noticed is when I am busy I can’t always have 1-2 days break in between the workouts. So I need to push them closer together. When I only have one days rest between day A which is chest shoulder triceps, my recorded reps and weight don’t go up. But when I rest up to 2-4 days I can usually do more and am stronger. However when I leave it 6-8 days when I have a busy schedule I stay the same. So I think 2-4 days rest is that sweet spot for me anyways. Tried doing PPL 5-6 days a week and couldn’t grow and even got weaker. So that 9 day split has worked for. If your reps and weights going up consistently your on the right track.
Who takes advice on working out from someone who looks like that???
shoulders dorsal
Legs abs
Back-biceps
Chest-triceps

I like to do 3 full body days because I genuinely DO enjoy being in the gym for 2 or so hours (weightlifting + 20-30 min cardio) for my life, its just most efficient
I worry though that I'm not getting enough rest for my muscles🤔
*Goal is recomp, starting back at overweight so fat loss is my priority
Bro split for 6 months and PPL for other 6 months
I like to do upper body and lower body splits and then change it out to push and pull days.
Go to any prison/jail, you train everything everyday and then dudes are jacked
I just like doing an hour of full body stuff every other day
I think, objectively, if you have all of the variables outside the gym in order, then if you you’re keep intensity the same, a 6-day upper lower is probably the best split to grow muscle, if you can manage a six day split
Ppl on top
I love hitting bro split every 60hrs. Like 60mins 4-5 exercises per muscle 2 maybe 3 sets. Max 18 sets per session best my bro and I have felt in a long time. On days off lifting we do jewie or rest 👌🏻
2 guys yapping
Ill do 3 days of upper body hitting 15 to 20 reps and 2 days cardio 10000 steps. Then switch it round next week.
Does that 13 yo even lift.
SHUT UP TIRED OF IT AT THE END OF THE DAY GENETICS WILL WIN GET IT !!! UNLESS U USE GEAR LOOK AT ME NY NATTY THATS IT
Wait so me doing bicep and back is not good?
chest/back, shoulder/arms, legs with 2-3 days rest between each
