Impossible Banana Cream Pie - The Southern Lady Cooks

Impossible banana cream pie does not need a crust as it makes its own. This is a creamy banana pie kind of like a custard. We like it because it is different from most pies and so quick and easy to make. Serve it with coffee as a dessert or you could add ice cream or whipped cream. We like this pie just plain and often have it for breakfast as a sweet morning treat. This pie is great for any gathering or event or just make it for family. A great way to use up extra bananas you have on hand.  You might also like our recipe for old-fashioned vinegar pie.

Impossible banana cream pie ingredients needed:

Eggs

White granulated sugar

Butter

Vanilla extract

All-purpose flour

Milk

Bananas, mashed

This pie will rise up during baking and then fall after it begins to cool. I always put a baking sheet under this pie to catch any drips when it rises up in the oven. The pie will slice better if you let it cool in the refrigerator before slicing.

If you love banana cream pies this definitely one to try. It’s a wonderful way to use bananas and we love it topped with whipped topping. This pie is great cold out of the refrigerator.

“Made it once with regular flour and today with almond flour. Both are delicious. When you want to do something different with ripe bananas this is the recipe to use. It reminds me of a flan or custard. So moist and yummy.” – Robin

“This was a delicious pie!!! Loved it hot right out of the oven and after it was chilled! Thanks for sharing! It was super easy to make.” – Tracy

“It is a great pie! Thickens up beautifully! I made it with about 1/3 c sugar and it turned out fine!!! I had never made an impossible pie before! I loved it!!” – Sharron

The Perfect Egg Salad Sandwich

I have strong opinions about egg salad sandwiches. Usually I take a pass. Like, if I see one on a menu, or at a deli, I choose another sandwich. Egg salad tends to be so gloppy, or too much mayo, soggy bread (yuck), or the trifecta of all three. But it doesn’t...
