These honey-roasted cashews are so easy to make, with only a few ingredients, and are wonderful to snack on. They also make a great gift during the holiday season!

❤️WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE

One reason to love this recipe is how simple it is, and that is always a plus. It is made of ingredients you probably have on hand. Snack food is great to have on hand to enjoy throughout the day, and these will keep for a while stored in an air-tight container. They also make a great gift during the holiday season and can easily be added to a charcuterie board.

🍴KEY INGREDIENTS

  • Cashews



  • Butter 



  • Honey



  • Sugar



  • Black pepper



  • Garlic powder



  • Cumin



  • Chili powder



  • Pinch cayenne



  • Sea salt

SWAPS

This is a very versatile recipe; you can switch out any of the spices to make them to your liking. You can add heat by adding more cayenne. You can also use any nuts, pecans, walnuts, etc.

🍽️HOW TO MAKE

These are super simple to make, which makes them a great snack!

COOKING STEPS

Step 1
Whisk together butter, honey, sugar, black pepper, garlic powder, cumin, chili powder and cayenne in a bowl.  Add cashews and mix with a spoon.

Step 2
Spread on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper. Bake in preheated 350-degree oven for 20 minutes. 

Step 3
Turn with a spatula after seven minutes and again after 15 minutes.  Remove from oven and sprinkle with sea salt.  Store in an airtight container.  Makes 1 1/2 cups.

⭐TIP

Let them cool on the pan for 3-5 minutes so the sugar can harden on the cashews. The combination of sea salt and sweetness is so good!

RECIPE VARIATIONS

You can use peanuts in this recipe for Honey Roasted Peanuts. So easy and so good! You can also use different spices and spice combinations. Some people love curry powder.

❓FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can I use maple syrup in the place of the honey?

Yes, I think that would work just fine.

Are these hot?

No, these are not hot, but you can make them hot by adding more cayenne.

STORING

We always store these in an airtight container. They make a wonderful gift and are great in little jars.
