Happy Friday! Here’s the latest Columbus restaurant news:

  • Signs have gone up announcing the return of the Worthington Inn! Although details are scarce at this point, new signage on the side of the building offers a QR code where people can sign up to get announcements. The original parts of the building date back to 1831, and it served as a residence, an inn, and a restaurant over the decades, before closing up at the very end of 2018. Since then the building has been sold and the upper floors converted to office spaces. Here’s a look back at their popular Sunday brunch buffet from 2011!
  • Little Grand Market in Grandview announced that Preston’s Burgers will take over the stall recently vacated by Taesty’s Southern Style. An exact opening date hasn’t been set yet. Preston’s also operates its storefront in Clintonville.
  • The owners of Marlow’s Cheesesteaks announced that they’re adding a food truck to their line-up. Marlow’s, which specializes in Philadelphia cheesesteaks, has a location in Gahanna and operates stalls at Budd Dairy Food Hall and North Market Downtown.
  • The Roosters location at 3370 Olentangy River Rd. reopened this week after being closed for more than a year due to a kitchen fire.
  • The Korean fried chicken spot CM Chicken has opened its fourth central Ohio location, this one at 1101 W. Fifth Ave. in Grandview.
  • On Saturday, Oct. 25, Jennings Java Coffee Roasters will celebrate the one-year anniversary of their shop in Merion Village. The festivities will include coffee tastings, baked goods, breakfast sandwiches from Isla next door.
  • Another new Michigan-based Yemeni coffee shop, this one called Jabal Coffee House, is coming soon to North High Street. An exact location and other details haven’t been released yet.
  • Tickets went on sale this week for Columbus Monthly‘s fall cocktail competition, coming on Thursday, Nov. 13 to Vitria on the Square.
