2 cups of Chicken Broth (for roasting)
Large Apple

Turkey wash
1 to 3 Tablespoon of Salt

Turkey Sauce Blend
1/2 Cup Ranch (Hidden Valleys or View Ranch)
1/2 cup Mayonnaise
1/2 Cup Melted Butter Or Margarine
1/2 Tablespoon Paprika
1/2 Tablespoon Garlic
1 Tablespoon Parsley Flakes

Turkey Stuffing Ingredients
1 Box Stuffing (@HEB Herb seasoned stuffing)
2 Cups Finely Chopped Onion (1 Large Onion)
2 Cups Finely Chopped Celery (6-8 Stalks)
1/2 Cup Melted Butter Or Margarine
2 Tablespoons Parley Flakes Or fresh Parsley
1 1/2 Chicken Broth

Cooking Details
19 Pound Turkey
Baked at 355 Degrees for 4 1/2 Hours
Uncover turkey and continue to bake for 35 to 40 Minutes
To achieve a golden looking Turkey turn broil Hi and keep a close watch as it gets to the desired golden skin

* Turkey is fully cooked when internal temp reaches 164 degrees (F)
* insert the thermometer in between the turkey leg and the turkey breast for best temp results. Don’t confuse the stuffing as the turkey temperature : )
*Follow suggested cooking time listed on the turkey package and roast and additional 35 minutes to achieve a golden roast.
*The oven used this year is a regular oven. If you have a BROIL tray at the bottom. Not to worry! Place oven on 500 degrees (F) keep Turkey in the exact location in the oven and you will produce enough heat to roast your turkey to perfection.
* You can achieve a faster roast by adding extra butter to the skin of the turkey before you broil. I skipped it for his recipe and broiled it for 35 minutes
* Take your turkey out of the freezer 3 days prior to cooking. Place it in your refrigerator go thaw out

I’ve made your turkey 3 years in a row now! Always get compliments now tasty and juicy it is! 😋 hubby isn’t a turkey fan and HATES ranch Lmaoo and even he LOVED IT and got 2nds!! Thank you! ❤️❤️ most people look at me funky when they see me make it but they eat their words once they try it! Lmao 😂

Hi Steph and Claudia! A few things I just have to get on to tell you.
First, I have watched many of your videos over the last few years. I rarely watch any cooking videos because I am busy cooking myself, but one night about 4 years ago I was feeling very down and I got on YouTube. I ran into one of your videos, I think Mutbang (the 2nd I had ever seen – why do these things amuse and comfort us LOL), then immediately one of your Mexican food videos and I have been coming back periodically ever since. Your warmth and genuineness make me feel comforted and at home. I live in Michigan, but I am Texan and I miss friends, family, and so much of Texas, especially truly good Mexican food, whether authentic or TexMex. I want to Thank You both for being You and caring about us. If I am down, I know where to come.

Secondly, my favorite turkey piece is the thigh, but when a turkey is cooked well, a.k.a. juicy white meat, then any and all of the meat is GOOD. I love turkey. Many years ago, probably before you were born, I roasted a 26# turkey with chilis and herbs (my favorite with turkey or stuffing is sage and black pepper), covered fully with a Mole' Negro sprinkled with Sesame Seeds, served with Arroz Verde, Chiles en Nogada (made with lamb), Crema de Calabaza con Pepitas y Hojas de Salvia fritas con Mantequilla (served in little fresh pumpkins), Enchiladas de Mariscos (grilled poblanos, jalapenos, onions, shrimp, and Oaxacan cheese inside tortillas made from heritage rosado corn), Tacos de Chorizo y Papas con Aguacate y Cotija (tortillas were made from heritage azul corn), Ensalada de Nopales Asada (with roasted red peppers, tomatoes, onion, jalapeno, olives with a lime, soy sauce vinaigrette), Ensalada de Jicama y Naranja (with cucumber, radish, green apple, and cilantro with a squeeze of lime and a sprinkle of cascabel powder), Tamal de Zarzamora con Queso Crema, Empanadas de Pina, Tres Leches, and Ceviche' for appetizer and of course, all of the trimmings and salsas. Breakfasts, tacos, taquitos, and enchiladas from leftovers were glorious!

Ever since, even though I love and cook other foods, Mexican has always been my first love and focus. My favorite being Chile Rellenos (I also really love to make these using eggroll wrappers or uncooked flour tortillas, frying them, so they are like small chimichangas but in all else, a chile relleno – I can't stop eating them), Taquitos and Flautas with Birria, but my Birria is unconventional because along with the dried chilis I make it thick by grinding many types of fresh roasted red peppers and chiles (and chopping some to be chunky) and using ancho paste. I grew up from 8-12 years of age cooking in the kitchen of my best friend's mother who never spoke English. None of her 5 daughters wanted to learn to cook, but I did, so she let me cook with her. I only learned the basic dishes from her, but I still make them how she taught me. You two take me back to my childhood with her. Also, I cannot wait to try the taquitos with gravy, OH MAN! (In my 20s a good friend of mine and her aunt and cousins let me make Christmas tamales with them and we always used the whole cows head. I loved those times! We camped out at her house for 3 days making tamales :D)

Finally, I have a little granddaughter turning 10 and she wants YOUR turkey, served whole, for her birthday party. I cannot wait to make it for her. I will come back and report the wonderfulness!
Pssssssttt, I know why your turkey thermometers never pop up. It is because you wrap your turkeys tightly in foil. They won't pop up that way, but you don't need them, girl! You know what you are doing! I love you Ladies and wish you all the best <3 Many Blessings and Love to You forever
I hope I didn't butcher the Spanish too badly. I am always trying to practice getting it right.

  3. Bee Kind

Let me just say that I cannot cook a juicy turkey to save my life. I could get rid of any enemies I may have by feeding them my turkey and watch them choke to death. I am going to try it. I hv a question…would cook time change for stuffing because I don't plan to stuff it. Thank you!!

  4. April murphy

A key secret to seasoning the meat is to take your seasonings and go up under the skin and rub the meat so that the flavor gets into the meat. Not nocking your recipe at all. It looks excellent and delicious. You are my top cooking YouTuber. Keep them up. ❤️

  5. Wendyann Francis

I don't have to use any stuffing I can used onion and garlic or carrot

  6. Chris Banks

Mmm tried my version of your recipe today and it is so good! Thank you! I never put stuffing in my turkey, so used an apple, orange, lemon, onion, celery & garlic instead of stuffing. I always struggle with turkey but this will be what I'll use going forward! Yummy! The sauce is perfect.

  7. Danielle Terry

Since husband can’t do Mayo I used butter ( garlic herb Cajun seasoning) I did lift skin over breast and smeared the butter season paste all over breast under and over skin then added 1 cup of chicken stock around bottom of my roaster cooked at 350 for 4 hrs then basted and cooked another hour

  8. Martha Mora

I’ve been married 26 years and we never make turkey in our home but this year my kids want me to make turkey as my newly daughter-in-law wants to eat it and is far from her family so I’m watching you’re turkey videos and feel hopeful to make it tonight. Thank you.

This is a great recipe! I used it and even my breast leftovers are juicy. I opted to put the marinade in between the the skin and breast. I also added a tablespoon of thyme and a tablespoon of sage. I also let the turkey marinate for 3 hours. I will definitely be using this recipe from now on. Oh and this was my first time making a turkey! Thank you ladies!
